How long does it take to re-paint an average house?
Each project is different, but on average this would be 2-3 weeks.

Why do prices vary so much between contractors?
The amount of prep work required to get ready to paint is a matter of opinion. Some will begin painting without any prep, Renomads will replace siding (if necessary) and make sure there is no debris to help paint adhere smoothly. Also quality of paint suggested by contractors can vary drastically in price.
